Joliet, IL death metal quartet Molder have shared a new song, “Frothing,” from their upcoming third album, Catastrophic Reconfiguration, due out on Prosthetic Records on November 8. “Frothing” boasts a guest vocal feature from long-running Chicago, IL death metal band Cianide‘s Scott Carroll, making Molder’s latest single a distinctly Illinois affair.
Speaking on the new single, Aaren Pantke (vocals/guitar) comments: “Arguably my favorite song on the record. If someone were to ask “what we’re all about?” This is the one I’d show them. It’s got everything; thrash, death, crust, doom etc. It even has Scott Carroll of Cianide doing guests vocals during the “meltdown”. It’s one of our most rabid tracks, period. For fans of losing your damn mind.”
